The peak of Campbell Mountain can be observed from Wispering Winds Lake, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Lake Bluff Trail. Wispering Winds Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Wesleyan Campground is a great place to camp nearby; you can have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Ridge Trail. That right there is lots of cool stuff already but it goes       on, the Cumberland Plateau Mountains has it all. Bear Hollow is in the vicinity of Wispering Winds Lake and is a great spot, and going for a hike along the Lake View Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such serene places, why not take a look at Old Jamestown Reservoir next to Wispering Winds Lake, and a pretty lake like Jamestown Reservoir is a tremendous spot to explore. Summertime highs at Wispering                  Winds Lake usually tend to be in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Wispering Winds Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There's some out of the ordinary stuff to spot at Wispering Winds Dam in the neighborhood of Wispering Winds Lake; get yourself into a kayak and hit Clear Fork - North Prong. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Maple Hill RV Campground is a splendid campground nearby; a pleasant nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Monticello, Ky. A good deal of rain falls at Wispering Winds Lake; December is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is October. Man, is there heaps of enjoyable stuff to do close to Wispering Winds Lake.
