All the water falling down from the sky makes Williams Lake a wet site; March is the month that gets the most rain; the driest of the months is October. At Williams Lake you always meet someone from Athens, and dry warm beds await you at Athens Super 8 Motel. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! Williams Lake is excellent! Take a little tour to Goodsprings Branch since you're here       at Williams Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Spanking Stump Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Williams Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Mc Clary Bend is a fine local campground, and nearby you hit upon the Gee Creek Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Little Loss Creek, and going for a hike on the Fishermans Trail is always a                  good adventure. Summertime highs at Williams Lake usually tend to be in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Williams Lake are in the 20's. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Ridgewood Golf Club, and Gee Creek is a splendid whitewater spot close by. Camping at Over-Niter RV Park is always a great experience, and Athens-Days Inn is a fine site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful.
