Melton Hill is uncomplicated to spot from Whiteoak Lake; Obed Wild & Scenic River is a very fine place to pop by. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the area right next door to Whiteoak Lake has to offer. Dry warm beds await you at Ramada Inn; a wonderful place for whitewater paddling is Crooked Fork Creek. Camping at The Crosseyed Cricket is always a great       experience, and you can run the rapids of Little Emory River. If you need a spot to stay Econo Lodge Lenoir City is a glorious choice, and right next door to Whiteoak Lake you stumble on a golf course called South Hills Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. Melton Hill Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit, and lots of people from Harriman come here. Near Whiteoak Lake you come across brilliant locations like Bethel Valley; if you're interested in                  hydro structures, you can go to Whiteoak Dam. For the duration of the long summer days highs here at Whiteoak Lake get into the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Whiteoak Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Soaring Eagle Campground and RV is a wonderful site to do that, and unsurprisingly Grubb Creek is a pretty stream that is worth a visit.
