This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Nolichucky River right next door to Waller Pond, and Riverpark Campground is a fine campground nearby. So many enjoyable things to do at Waller Pond, so little time. There are splendid places to explore along the Patty Ridge Trail, and Bacon Branch is close to Waller Pond and is always a delight to check out. There's tremendous       hiking along the Clark Creek Trail, and Bigrock Campground is a fine local campground. Dry warm beds await you at AmericInn Jonesborough, and if you're visiting from Johnson City, you won't be the only one. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Super 8 Motel - Erwin is a wonderful choice, and don't leave Waller Pond without first going for a hike along the California Trail. Walker Pond is a brilliant lake in the neighborhood of Waller Pond,                  and Sand Valley is nearby, and is a glorious site. There's whitewater on Nolichucky River for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and lakes are such serene places, why not check out Moore Lake. During the months of summer highs here at Waller Pond get into the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Highs through the winter are frequently in the 40's; night lows in the 20's for Waller Pond.
