    W H Swain Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. This lake is located in the wonderful Cumberland Plateau Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. A lovely lake like Ponderosa Lake near W H Swain Lake is a nice site to pop by; Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area is one of the destinations that are perfect to have a look at close by. Now, you may feel that's a lot but there's even more exciting stuff to do here in the Cumberland Plateau  
   Mountains. Why not camp at Charit Creek Campground since you're here at W H Swain Lake; if you're here you can take a hike along the Racoon Loop.
And if that's not enough there's a heap more entertaining stuff to do in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Do stop by Carter Lake in the neighborhood of W H Swain Lake, it's a pretty lake, and paddling on New River is so much fun. W H Swain Lake usually gets a great deal of rain; during the month of March you get the
 
               most rain around here, and October on the other hand is the driest. This is no site for people who don’t like to have a good time. A brilliant spot to camp here at W H Swain Lake is Bandy Creek Campground; dry warm beds await you at Best Western South Fork Inn.
If you're here at W H Swain Lake, you could visit Flat Creek, and Griffith Hollow is a good site to pop by. This lake is so wonderful. Comfort Inn Pioneer is a wonderful location to get some rest, and if the weather is wonderful, you can go for a hike along the Laurel Creek Trail. The panorama of Sheep Rock Mountain from W H Swain Lake is pretty; the scenery at W H Swain Dam is pretty.
If you love the outdoors, you'll fancy W H Swain Lake. The Deer Loop is a tremendous hiking trail in the neighborhood of W H Swain Lake. Oneida Golf & Country Club is a golf course close to W H Swain Lake, and get covered with water paddling on Pine Creek. Throughout the warm days of summer here at W H Swain Lake, high temperatures generally reach the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and night lows in the 20's for W H Swain Lake.

...ork river, cross at Big Island, up No Business Creek to the end Of Terry Cemetery Rd. We'll camp the night there, all your gear will be at camp waiting on you. We'll have ''pulled pork barbecue and fixins'', get up to hot breakfast and ride back along the west side of river, up the ''horse ladder'', and along Jack's Ridge to Bandy Creek, and back to the campground. This will be a challenging ride, not for the faint of rump! When we leave the campground, all your gear will be loaded in our trailer, a hauled to the campsite, while you ride. Riders should bring a small tent, sleeping bag or bedroll, if you have a small cot, we can carry that also, a duffle type bag for clothes, grain for you horse, a nose bag for feeding works great also, we will provide grass hay. If you want to carry a cooler with your personal beverages, that’s also allowed. We will have a saddle bag lunch on the trail, and ride into camp, with the fire already going, and the barbecue smokin!

The cost is $100. 00 per rider- bring your own horse
