High temperatures at Vinson Pond during the days of summer are in the 80's, and the nighttime is fairly chillier of course, frequently in the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are ordinarily in the 40's; all through the dark hours in the winter at Vinson Pond temperatures dip to the 20's. The high level of rain makes Vinson Pond a quite wet place; most of the rain falls during       December while October is usually the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Hematite Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Lakes are splendid; Kentucky Lake is a lake that's close to Vinson Pond. Why not stop at close by Blood River since you're here at Vinson Pond, and do take a hike on the Buffalo Trail. That right there is plenty already, but it continues; Vinson Pond has it all. Cedar Bluff is something                  you shouldn't miss while you're here at Vinson Pond. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Vinson Pond has to offer, you can camp at Rushing Creek Campground. Since you're here at Vinson Pond why not visit Blood River Bar, and the smiling people of Murray like to hang out close by. This lake is so wonderful. Do schedule some time to explore Ginger Bay near Vinson Pond if you have a chance, and needless to say, this is a tremendous region for folks who like lakes, Golden Pond is a lake in close proximity. If you need a place to stay Lake Barkley State Resort is a splendid choice, and hiking along the Scout Trail is magnificent fun. A wonderful nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Murray, Ky. It's always brilliant to stop by Cedar Springs.
