The warmest time of the year at Vannoort Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 60's. Highs all through the wintertime are usually in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Vannoort Lake. Vannoort Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Blue water Campground is a glorious local campground; Holiday Inn Express Dayton is       a wonderful location to get some rest. So much entertaining stuff in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains, just amazing. There's so much to do here at Vannoort Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Mountain Glen RV Park is a perfect site for that, and Dry Branch is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Vannoort Lake you can take a hike along the Laurel-Snow Trail, and lots of folks                  from Chattanooga come here. And that's not everything you can do here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Scottish Inns & Suites Dayton, and Vannoort Lake Dam is a site that is near Vannoort Lake. The high level of rainfall makes Vannoort Lake a pretty wet place; the month with most of the rain is March, and October meanwhile is the driest month. So much fun stuff near Vannoort Lake, truly amazing. Whitewater paddling is perfect on Big Possum Creek, and Rock Creek has a nice whitewater paddling spot nearby.
