The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Upland Lake temperatures descend to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Upland Lake is a place with many visitors from Crossville, and if you get bored of Upland Lake you could also explore close by Mayland Lake. Upland Lake is splendid enough to spend more       than a day at, Cherokee Lodge is a splendid local campground; Lake Alice is a nearby lake that you could stop at. Yeah, come up here to the Cumberland Plateau Mountains for a nice time. A great location to camp here at Upland Lake is Roam and Roost RV Campground; after a long day outdoors Super 8 Monterey is a great location to spend a night or two. Be careful coming to the Cumberland Plateau Mountains, you might not ever wanna go home again. You can run                  the rapids of Clifty Creek close to Upland Lake. What a site this is for outdoors folks. Caney Fork is a magnificent whitewater spot in close proximity to Upland Lake, and there's some interesting stuff to make out at Lake Laura Dam near Upland Lake. All the water falling down from the sky makes Upland Lake a wet place; most of the rain falls through March, and the driest month is October. Upland Lake is one of the lakes here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains.
