Tranquilechee Lake is a spot with many visitors from Crossville, and nearby you stumble on the Laurel-Snow Trail which is a good hiking trail. Tranquilechee Lake is located in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Summertime at Tranquilechee Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 60's. Through the wintertime the highs are usually in the 40's, and after the sun is down                  during the winter temperatures at Tranquilechee Lake plunge into the 20's. Stinging Fork is a good whitewater spot in the vicinity of Tranquilechee Lake, and Tranquilichee Lake Dam is a gorgeous place, positively worth going to. This lake is so wonderful. A brilliant place for whitewater paddling near Tranquilechee Lake is Dunlap Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Brady Branch is a gorgeous stream that is worth a visit, and a wonderful close by hotel is Comfort Suites Crossville.
