There's perfect hiking along the River Mont Cave Historical Trail, and there are other locations here than Tom McBee Lake, for example Day Lake. During the summer here at Tom McBee Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 80's; the overnight is quite cooler of course, generally in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and winter       nights come with lows in the 20's to Tom McBee Lake. Tom McBee Lake is a wet spot that gets much rainfall; March is the month that gets the most rain, and August meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. If time allows, Russell Cave National Monument is a national park worth taking a look at, and South Cumberland RV Park is a brilliant campground nearby. A fine nearby hotel is Days Inn Monteagle; Kirby Smith Point is very near and is a pleasant location to explore. This lake is so wonderful.
