East Fork North Mouse Creek flows through this vicinity, and Tellico Lake is right by the Starr Mountain Trail. During the summer months highs here at Tellico Lake reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are mostly in the 40's; night lows in the 20's for Tellico Lake. Here at Tellico Lake there are plenty of folks from Athens, and       the Iven Trail offers hiking at its best. Soar down the rapids of Piney Creek in a kayak, and hiking along the Fooshee Pass Trail is splendid fun. You definitely have to have a thing about Tellico Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Athens I-75 Campground is a splendid site to camp; if you need a location to stay Travelodge Athens TN is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Tellico Lake without first paying a visit to Denton Spring.                  This lake is so wonderful. Get wet paddling on Gee Creek, and enjoy a round of golf at Willow Springs Golf Course. A great nearby hotel is Quality Inn & Suites; camping is available at Sweetwater Valley Koa.
