Dry warm beds await you at Courtyard By Marriott Bristol Virginia, and if you come at the right time of year, Holston River offers some great whitewater. Nearby Mobley Hollow is a good site to go if you're at Taylor Lake, and Taylor Lake is a brilliant site to visit for more than one day, Lee Hwy Campground is a brilliant site to camp nearby. The high level of precipitation makes Taylor Lake a relatively wet spot; July       is the wettest month with most rain, and October meanwhile is the driest month. There's splendid hiking along the Short Spur Trail, and do check out Taylor Dam while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Taylor Lake; Flint Mill Trail is a great local trail, and after a long day outdoors La Quinta Inn Bristol is a splendid site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. An afternoon playing golf at Steele                  CRK Park Golf Course is always a pleasure; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Doe River. For the duration of the summertime here at Taylor Lake, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Taylor Lake temperatures sink to the 20's.
