Barksdale Bend is an out of the ordinary location to visit while at Standing Stone Lake; Talley Hollow is another magnificent spot to take a look at nearby. This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Standing Stone Lake, for example Standingstone Lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Butlers Landing Campground       is a tremendous place to camp. Dale Hollow Lake is a fine lake near Standing Stone Lake, and you don’t have to go far from Standing Stone Lake to see the water at Standing Stone Dam. All the outdoors amusing things right next door to Standing Stone Lake will keep you coming back repeatedly. Flat Creek has a glorious whitewater paddling spot close by, and Standing Stone Lake is not far at all from Cookevi lle. Standing Stone Lake sees pretty high levels                  of rain; July is the month that gets the most rain; October is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Indian Creek is a brilliant local stream; camping is available at Standing Stone State Park. The warmest time of the year at Standing Stone Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 60's.
