Sportsmans Lake is a reasonably wet place typically with a large amount of rainfall; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is October. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Little Harpeth River, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Nashville. This lake is so wonderful. Earthman Fork is a striking stream that       is worth checking out, and Bennett Hollow is in close proximity, and is a perfect site. At Sportsmans Lake through the summer highs are in the 80's with night lows in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's while Sportsmans Lake nighttime low temperatures all through the winter are in the 20's. There are plenty of people from Nashville-Davidson—Murfreesboro here at Sportsmans Lake; if you came for an overnight stay Nashville                  Koa Kampground is a wonderful place to camp. If you like the outdoors, you'll adore Sportsmans Lake. Camping is available at O K Campground.
