Spain Lake is a wet place that gets a great deal of rain; during March this area sees the most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There's so much to do here at Spain Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Winding Creek Mountain Resort is a delightful place for that, and Caney Fork is a splendid       whitewater spot nearby. For the period of the summer at Spain Lake highs are typically in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 60's. During the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Spain Lake dip into the 20's. Just can't get enough of Spain Lake. Spain Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Spencer Cove RV Park is a tremendous local campground, and                  you'll hit upon a scenic lake called Payne Lake. These mountains rock, just check out all the entertaining stuff to do in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. If you need a location to stay Knights Inn Cookeville is a good choice, and why not take a little journey to Big Lost Creek since you're here. Spain Lake is one of the lakes here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious site for whitewater paddling near Spain Lake is Clifty Creek, and you'll meet a lot of people from Cookevi lle here. You simply have to have a thing about the Cumberland Plateau Mountains.
