The high level of precipitation makes Snake Pond a relatively wet place; during March this area sees the most rain; June meanwhile is the driest month. Ballard Point since you're here at Snake Pond, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Big Fiery Gizzard Creek.
Near Snake Pond you stumble on magnificent places like Gaines Cove, and
don't leave Snake Pond without first going for a hike along the Winding Stairs. Summertime at Snake Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are typically
in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Snake Pond are in the 20's. There are nice locations to discover along the River Mont Cave Historical Trail. There's so much to do here at Snake Pond that you need to camp here for a while, South Cumberland RV Park is a tremendous site for that.
