Sequatchie Valley Golf & Country Club is a golf course near Snake Pond, and there are some nice whitewater spots on Big Fiery Gizzard Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Ballard Point is close by and always nice to stop at, and needless to say, this is a delightful region for folks who like lakes, Tom McBee Lake is a lake around here. All the water falling       down from the sky makes Snake Pond a wet location; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is June. Gaines Cove is a brilliant site to explore close to Snake Pond, and possibly you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Red Pond is just a very short distance away. So many entertaining things to do here at Snake Pond, too nice to be true. Right Hand Prong Winn Creek flows through this area, and whitewater paddling                  is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Little Fiery Gizzard Creek. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful close by hotel is Americas Best Value Inn/Kimball, and a perfect spot to camp here at Snake Pond is Laurel Trails Campground. Looking for a perfect visit? Russell Cave National Monument is relatively in the neighborhood of Snake Pond. During the warm months, highs commonly are in the 80's at Snake Pond, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Snake Pond temperatures descend to the 20's.
