At Smith Pond during the days of summer highs are in the 90's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Smith Pond. A great deal of rain falls at Smith Pond; most of the rain falls during May, and August on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location       to stay Americas Best Inns Selmer is a tremendous choice, and on a magnificent day you can take a hike along the Fern Loop Nature Trail. A good place to camp here at Smith Pond is Chickasaw State Park, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Forked Pine Nature Trail. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. This is a popular place for people from Jackson. At Smith Pond you can catch a glimpse of Laurel Hill, and going for a hike along                  the Lakeshore Nature Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity.
