A nice place to check out near Silver Lake is Alexanders Shoals. A lake close by is Bays Mountain Reservoir, and a magnificent site to camp here at Silver Lake is Rock Springs Campground. A great close by hotel is Marriott Meadowview Resort, and since you're here at Silver       Lake, checking out Laurel Run Cliffs is a must. If you need a place to stay Econo Lodge Church Hill is a great choice, and if you come at the right time of year, Stock Creek offers some glorious whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. A short spree to Silver Lake Spring is always worthwhile, and why not a little side journey to Goshen Creek. Summertime highs at Silver Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. For                  the period of the winter highs are in the 40's, and night lows at Silver Lake through the wintertime ordinarily fall into the 20's.
