on Tellico River. Shortfoots Pond gets lots of water; March is the month that gets the most rain while October is generally the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Econo Lodge Sweetwater is a splendid site to get some rest,
and float down the rapids of Wildcat Creek in a kayak. Shortfoots Pond is one of the lakes here in the Great Smoky Mountains. The peak of Atkins Knob can be seen from Shortfoots Pond; Shortfoots Pond is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Coker Creek Village is a splendid local campground.
