At Shortfoots Pond you can observe Atkins Knob. That right there is a heap of exciting things already but it goes on, the Great Smoky Mountains has it all. A striking lake like Tellico Lake next to Shortfoots Pond is a wonderful place to have a look at, and there's some flowing water close by, Atkins Branch is a stream you can stop at while here. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! Shortfoots Pond is great! Wildcat Creek has a       good whitewater paddling spot close by, and Shortfoots Pond is a spot with many visitors from Athens. Shortfoots Pond is a beautiful lake in the Great Smoky Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Etowah Red Roof Inn. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Shortfoots Pond has to offer, you can camp at Tellico Plains Koa. If you need a place to stay Econo Lodge Sweetwater is a brilliant choice, and going for a hike on the                  Conasauga Falls Trail is always a great adventure. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Great Smoky Mountains. Go for a hike on the Doc Rogers Trail, and lakes are such peaceful sites, why not visit Shortfoots Pond. All through the summer months here at Shortfoots Pond, high temperatures frequently reach the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Shortfoots Pond. The high level of rainfall makes Shortfoots Pond a relatively wet spot; through the month of March you get the most rain around here; October is the month with the least moisture. If you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Tellico River.
