Shirley Pond is a wonderful place to visit for more than one day, Mc Donald Koa Kampground is a wonderful place to camp nearby, and Little Soddy Creek is a fine whitewater spot nearby. Cedar Creek Mobile Home Park is a wonderful campground nearby, and getting to Frog Level Branch from Shirley Pond is uncomplicated. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby Ramsey Hollow is a tremendous place to go if you're at Shirley Pond,       and going for a hike on the Hardy Trail is always a good adventure. If only every location had this much outdoors cool stuff, what a great earth it would be. If you're a golfer then a wonderful close by course is Hampton Creek Golf Club; if you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Chattanooga. Lakes are wonderful; Currey Pond is a lake that's next to Shirley Pond, and since you're here, do take a visit to Hide Out Slough. Through the summer                  months here at Shirley Pond, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's; through the dark hours in the winter at Shirley Pond temperatures dip to the 20's. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Ooltewah/Chattanooga is a delightful location to spend a night or two, and you're in all probability into lakes, Morning Glory Lake is one of those close by. Shirley Pond is a wet site that gets much rain; during March this area sees the most rain, and October is when it's the driest. Man, is there plenty of enjoyable stuff to do in the vicinity of Shirley Pond. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Orr Slough is right close by; if you need a location to stay Americas Best Inns-Chattanooga/Hamilton Place is a brilliant choice. This lake is so wonderful.
