    The beauty of Shelbys Pond is reason enough to stop by. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. Shelbys Pond is close to Eighth Avenue South Reservoir which is a charming spot unquestionably worth taking a look at, and while you're here, you could also explore beautiful Meadowbrook Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Little Harpeth River close to Shelbys Pond, and you'll perhaps meet some folks from Nashville-Davidson—Murfreesboro  
   here. This lake is so wonderful.
High temperatures at Shelbys Pond through the warmest time of the year are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 60's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Shelbys Pond are in the 20's. Some nearby water includes Browns Creek, and Shelbys Pond is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Nashville Koa Kampground is a glorious local campground.
 
               Belmont Terrace is clearly visible from Shelbys Pond; playing golf is lots of fun at Springhouse Golf Club at Gaylord Opryland Resort.
The high level of rainfall makes Shelbys Pond a quite wet location; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Camping at Two Rivers Campgrounds is always a great experience, and if you need a spot to stay Hilton Suites Nashville Downtown is a splendid choice. After a long day outdoors Ramada Limited Central (Downtown) Nashville is a splendid site to spend a night or two, and do stop at Bush Lake, it's a wonderful lake.

Two Rivers Campgrounds
Small, well kept campground that is privately owned and operated. Owners on site most of the time. During the season there is free live entertainment two or three nights a weeks. Always free coffee in the office for visitors. Front desk staff is friendly and can help you plan your stay in Nasvhille. Tours and show tickets available at the front desk as well.

No Tent Camping

104 RV sites with water, electric only OR water, electric and sewer.

Pets are allowed but you are required to keep them on a lease and pick up their messes.

Campfires are not allowed unless in a covered container that is off the ground.

There is a convenience store and a gift shop on the premeises.

A full service grocery store (Krogers) is close by.

There is a pool which is open from May thru October. No lifeguard is on duty.

Lesters Lake is no longer there. It was drained years ago after a girl was killed swimming there when she swam into an area inhabited by cottonmouth snakes and was bitten several times....Do you remember swimming at Lesters Lake...1970...?...
