It's a fine idea to stop at Dry Branch, it's right next door to Shack Lake, and Shack Lake is a great spot to visit for more than one day, Powderhorn Campground is a great spot to camp nearby. Shack Lake gets much water; during the month of March you get the most rain around here, and September on the other hand is the driest. At Shack Lake you always meet someone from Lawrenceburg,       and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Pulaski. Golf can be played at Clax Branch Golf Course, and Dixieland Music Park is a good campground nearby. During the warm months, highs usually are in the 80's at Shack Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Shack Lake. Any time is a good time at Shack Lake if you go for the outdoors.
