This lake is so wonderful. A great vista of stunning Turkey Knob is available from Ryan Lake, and drift down the rapids of Obed River in a kayak. The Cumberland Plateau Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Now, you may imagine that's loads but there's even more exciting stuff to do here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains.       Enjoy a round of golf at Stonehenge Golf Club not far from Ryan Lake, and if you come at the right time of year, Daddy's Creek offers some perfect whitewater. A picturesque lake like Catherine Lake near Ryan Lake is a perfect place to visit, and if you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites CROSSVILLE is a great choice. Bagwell Branch is a magnificent place to visit; the scenery at Catherine Lake Dam is wonderful. And if that's not sufficient                  there's a lot more enjoyable things to do in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Fairfield Glade Resort, and you'll find a delightful lake called Canterbury Lake. Throughout the long summer days at Ryan Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's while Ryan Lake night low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's. Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! Ryan Lake is excellent! Do pay a visit to Obed Wild & Scenic River if you're here at Ryan Lake, and Ryan Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Bean Pot Holiday Trav-l-park is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful.
