     The beauty of Rucker Lake attracts many people from all around. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is great on Cove Creek, and why not camp at Kodak Koa Kampground if you're here at Rucker Lake. Rucker Lake is a reasonably wet place frequently with much precipitation; through July this area sees the most rain while September is generally the driest month. Rocky Gap is right next door to Rucker Lake and is without doubt a nice spot to pop by, and Douglas  
   Lake is a great lake close by.
If the weather is wonderful here at Rucker Lake, you can go for a hike along the Cove Mountain Trail; Knoxville East KOA is a great local campground. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Lost Creek Golf Club is in the vicinity, and Hampton Inn & Suites Sevierville at Stadium Drive is a tremendous place to get some rest. At Rucker Dam in the vicinity of Rucker Lake there are some exciting things to see, and
 
               swing by Caldwell Branch it's a tremendous place to pop by.
Dry warm beds await you at Big Bear Extended Stay & Suites. You're sure to stumble upon some friendly folks from Sevierville here; if you're here you can take a hike along the Bunches Trace. This lake is so wonderful. A journey to Rucker Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Caldwell Spring; paddling on Little Pigeon River - West Prong is so much fun.
Man, is there lots of cool things to do near Rucker Lake. Great Smoky Mountains National Park is one of the destinations close to Rucker Lake that are wonderful to go to; Ober Gatlinburg is a very popular ski area nearby. Through the summertime months at Rucker Lake highs are commonly in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Rucker Lake temperatures plunge to the 20's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. The Laurel Falls Trail is a delightful hiking trail next to Rucker Lake, and there are other places here than Rucker Lake, for example Ault Lake.

Ober Gatlinburg doesn't have a lot of different runs to choose from but it's pretty ok based on the area....
