    Many people like to go to Ronald King Lake. Ronald King Lake is located in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. This site, the Cumberland Plateau Mountains, has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. There are some wonderful whitewater spots on Roaring Paunch River, and nearby you locate the Cumberland Falls Trail Number Two which is a good hiking trail. High temperatures at Ronald King Lake through the long summer days are in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's  
   ordinarily in the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's with temperatures at Ronald King Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights.
This lake is so wonderful. Do pop by Ronald King Dam since you're here at Ronald King Lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Rock Creek. Be careful coming to Ronald King Lake, you might not ever wanna go back home again. It's a good
 
               idea to visit Jones Branch, it's close to Ronald King Lake; the Laurel Creek Trail is a delightful hiking trail close by. So much cool stuff to do in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains, not enough time. Ronald King Lake is a good site to visit for more than one day, Star Creek Shelter Campground is a good site to camp nearby.
After a long day outdoors Best Western South Fork Inn is a great location to spend a night or two; Eagle Falls Resort is a glorious local campground. Ronald King Lake is a wet place that gets a large amount of precipitation; March is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is October. Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area is one of the destinations near Ronald King Lake that are brilliant to go to; if you need a place to stay Cumberland Falls State Resort Park is a pleasant choice.
