This lake is one of the great places here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. If you need a site to stay Cookeville Knights Inn is a great choice; getting to Boles Branch from Puckett Pond is trouble-free. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the glorious whitewater of Flat Creek; there are other spots here than Puckett Pond, for example Gordan Hunter Lake. Any time is a glorious time at Puckett       Pond if you love the outdoors. White Plains Golf Course is a tremendous golf course nearby, and a delightful location to camp here at Puckett Pond is Standing Stone State Park. There's whitewater on Spring Creek for all you thrill seekers, and camping at Spring Valley RV Park is always a glorious experience. At Puckett Pond during the warm months highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in                  the 40's with temperatures at Puckett Pond dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors entertaining things the Cumberland Plateau Mountains has to offer. Since you're here at Puckett Pond why not pop by Black Bottom. Lakes? Sure, Maxwell Lake is in the neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. All the water falling down from the sky makes Puckett Pond a wet place; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is October.
