Stay the night at Joyners Campground, and if you've had enough of Powell Lakes, Horseshoe Cutoff is nearby. Powell Lakes gets lots of water; December is the month that gets the most rain, and October meanwhile is the driest month. But wait, there's more to do close to Powell Lakes. Powell Lakes is not the only location close by, Shaw Lake is a       close by lake. High temperatures at Powell Lakes during the days of summer are in the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are frequently in the 40's with temperatures at Powell Lakes dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful.
