     Not far from Poole Lake, you'll hit upon Big Spring Lake Number Two which is a charming lake, and Knights Inn Hurricane Mills is a good location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Pruette Branch is a delightful stream that is worth checking out. Lakes are perfect; Parm Lick Pond is a lake that's near Poole Lake. Summertime highs at Poole Lake regularly tend to be in the 80's while overnight lows are usually in the 60's. The winter brings highs down  
   to the 40's while the cold winter nights at Poole Lake are in the 20's. If you need a place to stay Best Western Of Hurricane Mills is a nice choice, and Poole Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, KOA Buffalo River is a splendid local campground.
Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things next to Poole Lake. Interesting geology is available here; Rains Bottom is right next door to Poole Lake, and if you crave a little side visit, try
 
               Ashley Hollow. Poole Lake is a relatively wet place usually with a large amount of rain; March is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is October.
A spree to Pruette Spring will fill your spirit with great feelings. There's so much to do here at Poole Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Buffalo KOA is a glorious place for that.
