Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in the vicinity of Pierce Pond. Pleasant Hill Branch is next to Pierce Pond and is always a pleasure to have a look at; hiking is a popular thing to do around Pierce Pond; Fooshee Pass Trail is a great local trail. This lake is so wonderful. Near Pierce Pond you come across       a golf course called Lakehaven Golf & Country Club, and whitewater paddling is wonderful on Little Piney Creek. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express ATHENS is a nice place to spend a night or two; you could always explore Harmon Hollow. While you're here at Pierce Pond you will meet lots of folks from close by Athens. A good close by hotel is Comfort Inn Athens, and if you came for an overnight stay Cottonport Fish N Camp                  is a splendid place to camp. Goforth Spring is an inspiring place to pop by while here, and a wonderful lake like Breeden Pond is a wonderful location to stop by. Summertime highs at Pierce Pond generally tend to be in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 60's. All through the winter highs are typically in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Pierce Pond. Cotton Port Marina and Campground is a nice campground nearby; you'll discover a lovely lake called Nagle Lake.
