Patton Pond is a nice lake to visit. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Big Fiery Gizzard Creek, and a lake nearby is Duck Pond. If you need a place to stay Monteagle-Days Inn is a wonderful choice, and great hiking is available along the River Mont Cave Historical Trail.

| | so wonderful. A trip to Goodman Point in the neighborhood of Patton Pond is always a good idea; Acuff Country Inn is a magnificent place to get some rest. Patton Pond is a wet place that gets a lot of rainfall; most of the rain falls through March, and October is the month with the least moisture.

the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the area next to Patton Pond has to offer. If you come at the right time of year, Little Fiery Gizzard Creek offers some tremendous whitewater, and some of the water close by flows, like Blue
Spring Branch. This lake is so wonderful. Burrow Cove is a pleasant place to spend some time at; don't leave Patton Pond without first going for a hike along the Winding Stairs.
During the summertime months at Patton Pond temperatures
are typically in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Patton Pond through the wintertime commonly sink into the 20's.
