The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Old Ponta Pond. Stay the night at Beech Bend Campground; going for a hike along the Largo Trail will let you absorb the natural       beauty of this area. There's so much to do here at Old Ponta Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Parker's Crossroads Campground is a great location for that; if you're here you can take a hike along the Mount Zion Trail. Visit Beech River Slough since you're here at Old Ponta Pond; if you need a site to stay Lexington Days Inn is a good choice. Old Ponta Pond is a reasonably wet place typically with a lot of precipitation; of all the months in a year                  March is the one with the most rain, and August is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Econo Lodge Lexington is a magnificent place to get some rest; you can have a perfect hiking adventure along the Sulphur Fork Trail. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun.
