Old Jamestown Reservoir is right by the Lake View Trail; if you came for an overnight stay Wesleyan Campground is a good place to camp.       Old Jamestown Reservoir is located in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. An interesting thing to visit right next door to Old Jamestown Reservoir is Old Jamestown Reservoir Dam, and the Ridge Trail offers hiking at its best. Throughout the days of summer at Old Jamestown Reservoir temperatures are frequently in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with                  lows in the 20's to Old Jamestown Reservoir. That right there is a load already, but it goes on; Old Jamestown Reservoir has it all. A great deal of rain falls at Old Jamestown Reservoir; December is the wettest month with most rain, and October on the other hand is the driest.
