Why not take a refreshing hike along the River Mont Cave Historical Trail; not far from Nickajack Lake you get some tremendous water scenery at Nickajack Dam. Cloudland Canyon State Park is worth checking out if you're at Nickajack Lake, and needless     to say Hogjaw Creek flows through this vicinity.
