Athens-Days Inn is a great site to get some rest; Ridgewood Golf Club is a golf course nearby. A lot of rainfall falls at Mountain View Lake; March is the wettest month with most rain while October is mostly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. The Fishermans Trail offers hiking at its best, and dry warm beds await you at Athens Super 8 Motel. High temperatures       at Mountain View Lake during the warm days of summer are in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Mountain View Lake. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Mountain View Lake; Gee Creek Trail is a great local trail, and Little Mountain is a peak you can make out from Mountain View Lake. It's a good idea to explore Goodsprings                  Branch, it's right next door to Mountain View Lake, and Mountain View Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Gee Creek Campground is a splendid local campground. If you fancy the outdoors, you'll go for Mountain View Lake. Plumlee Spring is a perfect local attraction. There's so much to do here at Mountain View Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Mc Clary Bend is a magnificent place for that. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Starr Mountain Trail, and a tremendous place for whitewater paddling is Gee Creek.
