This lake is so wonderful. Mountain View Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Gee Creek Campground is a great local campground; there are other places here than Mountain View Lake, for example Delano Mill Pond. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Mountain View Lake that you need to camp here for       a while, Mc Clary Bend is a tremendous site for that, and if you need a place to stay Etowah Red Roof Inn is a delightful choice. Little Mountain can be seen from Mountain View Lake, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Athens here. This site rocks, just look at all the cool stuff to do near Mountain View Lake. A great nearby hotel is Days Inn Athens; get your heart pumping on the delightful whitewater of Gee Creek. The high level of rain makes Mountain View                  Lake a rather wet spot; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
