Just can't get enough of Mountain View Lake. Mountain View Lake is a good site to visit for more than one day, Gee Creek Campground is a good site to camp nearby, and dry warm beds await you at Athens-Days Inn. A wonderful site for whitewater paddling right next door to Mountain View Lake is Little Loss Creek, and while you're here you can play some golf at Ridgewood Golf Club. Mountain View Lake regularly gets a       lot of precipitation; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and October on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Athens Super 8 Motel is a magnificent choice; Mc Clary Bend is a wonderful local campground. If you get bored of Mountain View Lake, you could also go to close by Williams Lake, and you'll meet a lot of people from Athens here. You can run the rapids of Gee Creek in close proximity                  to Mountain View Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Starr Mountain Trail. All through the warmest time of the year highs here at Mountain View Lake reach the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. Throughout the winter the highs are regularly in the 40's with temperatures at Mountain View Lake dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights. A splendid panorama of lovely Little Mountain is available from Mountain View Lake; hiking is a popular thing to do around Mountain View Lake; Fishermans Trail is a great local trail. A trip to Plumlee Spring will fill your soul with magnificent feelings, and swing by Goodsprings Branch it's a glorious place to explore. So much enjoyable stuff to do at Mountain View Lake, so little time. This lake is so wonderful.
