High temperatures at Morgan Lake throughout the long summer days are in the 80's while overnight lows are typically in the 60's. All through the winter the highs are generally in the 40's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Morgan Lake temperatures dip to the 20's. A glorious close by hotel is Pop's Restaurant, and Morgan Lake is not far at all from Morristown. If you crave a little side journey,       try Bates Hollow, and Corbin Lake is a tremendous lake nearby. But wait, there's more to do near Morgan Lake. Go for a hike on the Bunches Trace, and a splendid place to camp here at Morgan Lake is May Springs Campground. The high level of rain makes Morgan Lake a relatively wet place; throughout July this area sees the most rain, and September is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Gilmore Motel & Restaurant is a                  tremendous place to spend a night or two, and Sycamore Spring is always fun to check out. Morgan Lake is right next door to Morgan Lake Dam which is a lovely location certainly worth stopping at, and there's some flowing water nearby, Buffalo Hide Creek is a stream you can stop by during your stay. This lake is so wonderful.
