A visit to Moore Lake is always a good idea. Moore Lake is a wet place that gets a good deal of rain; May is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is October. day you acquire a glorious vista of Potato Hill from Moore Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Bigrock Campground is a good site to do that; if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the Squibb Creek
Trail. While you're here at Moore Lake you can take a hike along the Patty Ridge Trail, and Holiday Inn Express Erwin I-181 / I-26 (Exit 15), is a magnificent spot to get some rest. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Erwin,
and Wolf Laurel is a very popular ski area around here. This lake is so wonderful. Sally Hole is a glorious site to stretch your legs a bit; while you're here, you might as well stop at Clarks Creek Shoals. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Nolichucky River, and camping at Riverpark Campground is always a good experience.
