Moffett Pond is a nice lake to visit. Man, is there a load of enjoyable things to do in the neighborhood of Moffett Pond. Golf can be played at Elizabethton Golf Course, and after a long day outdoors Americourt Hotel-Mountain City is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two. You get a magnificent panorama of Cedar Hill from Moffett Pond. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Moffett Pond has to offer, you can camp at Grandview Ranch Rv Park. In the

| | event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Doe River, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Johnson City here.
Moffett Pond gets a normal amount of annual precipitation; the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest month is October. Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Watauga. visit for more than one day, River Ridge Campground is a pleasant site to camp nearby.
There is a great hiking trail in the vicinity of Moffett Pond called the Stone Mountain Trail, and don't leave Moffett Pond without first paying
a visit to Big Spring. For the period of the summertime highs here at Moffett Pond reach the 80's while nighttime lows are typically in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and night lows at Moffett Pond through the
wintertime frequently drop into the 20's. Don't forget to take a fine little spree to Marion Branch; you can go for a hike on the Stamping Ground Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. A perfect spot to pop by near Moffett Pond is Caney Hollow; going for a hike on the Old Dug Trail is always a splendid adventure.
