Beautiful Moffett Pond has much to offer visitors. That right there is lots already, but it continues; Moffett Pond has it all. The Stamping Ground Trail offers hiking at its best, and a great place to explore close by is Caney Hollow. From a precipitation point of view Moffett Pond is a relatively normal place; during July this area sees the most rain, and October is the month with the least moisture.
The top of Cedar Hill is easily seen from Moffett Pond.

| | You'll need more than a day to discover everything Moffett Pond has to offer, you can camp at Limestone Cove Campground. For the period of the long summer days highs here at Moffett Pond get into the 80's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 60's. Highs through the winter are commonly in the 40's; night lows through the wintertime for Moffett Pond tend to be in the 20's. Pond is trouble-free.
In the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Watauga, and lots of people from Johnson City come here. Moffett Pond is a wonderful location to camp, North Indian
Creek Campground is a wonderful location; dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Johnson City. This lake is so wonderful. Doe River is a pleasant whitewater spot close to Moffett Pond, and playing golf is lots of fun at Elizabethton
Golf Course.
This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Moffett Pond; Old Dug Trail is a great local trail; you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Wolf Laurel if you're here. And that's
not all you can do here at Moffett Pond. Americourt Hotel-Mountain City is a wonderful location to get some rest, and a visit to Moffett Pond wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Big Spring.
