Mingo Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; most of the rain falls through March, and August is when it's the driest. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Turkey Creek; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at close by Glaus Pond. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water nearby, Carter Branch       is a stream you can pop by during your stay, and Fairview/Devils Step Campground is a delightful campground here. Summertime highs at Mingo Pond regularly tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's.
