Go to Miller Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Miller Lake is a beautiful lake in the Great Smoky Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. You're probably into lakes, Odom Trout Lake is one of those close by, and Chambers Hollow is in the vicinity, and is a fine place. A common amount of rain falls here at Miller Lake; the month with most of the rain is July, and October is the month with the least moisture.
Now, you may believe that's heaps but there's

even more amusing things to do here in the Great Smoky Mountains. A fine close by hotel is Americourt Hotel-Mountain City, and the Stone Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Laurel Fork Trail; High Rock is something you shouldn't miss while you're here. Just can't get enough of Miller Lake. There's so much to do here at Miller Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Laurel Creek Lodge is a brilliant place for
that, and Doe River has a great whitewater paddling spot close by.
This lake is so wonderful. You can spot Little Rock Knob from Miller Lake, and if you've had enough of Miller Lake, Hall Lake is close by. After a long day outdoors Americourt Hotel Elizabethton is a nice place to spend a night or two. If you came to camp Dennis Cove Campground is a splendid place to do that; if you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Johnson City.
High temperatures at Miller Lake during the summertime are in the 80's, and the overnight is fairly colder of course, commonly in the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's, and overnight lows through the winter for Miller Lake tend to be in the 20's. Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! The Great Smoky Mountains is so good! If you're here at Miller Lake, you could explore Bill Creek; an out of the ordinary thing to explore close to Miller Lake is Miller Lake Dam.

Laurel Fork Trail

Not normally hikers, and middle aged, this trail was a killer. We had a great time, and the scenery was beautiful, but we were worn out. We ran into a copperhead, twice, once on the way up, and again on the way down. Apparently he was guarding his territory. The falls weren't as full as we hoped, but there has been a lack of rain in this area. The trail in some area's were a bit rough, steep, and dangerous, but at least we can say we made it....

Red Fork Falls Trail
Yes, it is dangerous, I have fallen and slid all the way to one of the small pools after the falls....Hike is very short and falls are very beautiful… You can also camp close the parking area if you want to....my parents took me to red fork falls last weekend. it is beautiful. it is a short hike and very easy to get to. the only problem is the trail brings you out at the top of the falls instead of the bottom. you have to be very careful because the rocks are so slippery. my dad said he knew several people who had fallen from the top and 2 of them had actually died. so be very careful....

Limestone Cove Trail
Near here outside of a town named Erwin is a National park named Rock Creek. it's located about 15 miles from Limestone Cove. It had camping with showers, electricity, single and double camp sites, a dumping station and swimming. it's one of my favorite places see this. ...

Toe River Campground
15 miles away
Toe river campground is awesome, my family and I have two favorite spots. We bring our camper down and leave it all summer. We come down every weekend. We love it and it is family friendly!!!...Toe River Campground is managed by some great folks this time around and looks better than we have ever seen it. It is a clean, family safe campground with a river running along the edge. You have to see this one to believe the way things have changed. If you have never been it is worth the trip! ...

Springmaid Mountain
16 miles away
Springmaid Mountain is a beautiful place to visit. Even if you don't like camping they also have cabins. If you go camping, try going in the off season. We went in Sept. 05 and we basically had the campground to ourselves! Even if others were in the campground, the sites are spaced apart. Its a great getaway....

Love the lake have camped and boated 3 yrs now here. Love it. It's deep and clean. Hate they drop the water so low and so earily in the year tho. Hard for boats to get in and have to go to other places. Love the islands to stop and cook out and swim. It's amazing out there. I'm hooked on Holston lake..~{...
