All the water falling down from the sky makes Mill Lake a wet place; most of the rain falls throughout March; the driest month is October. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Knoxville-East/Chilhowee Park/Fairgrounds/Zoo Days Inn is a wonderful choice, and going for a hike on the Deer Trail is always a splendid adventure. Stay the night at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Camp; Crawford Spring       is a scenic site to stop by while you're at Mill Lake. Fairfield Inn & Suites Chattanooga I-24/Lookout Mountain is a pleasant location to get some rest, and if you come at the right time of year, Little River offers some magnificent whitewater. So many enjoyable things to do at Mill Lake, so little time. Kerns Branch is one of the streams nearby that might be worth a visit, and there are perfect locations to look at along the River Bluff Trail. All through                  the months of summer, highs regularly are in the 80's at Mill Lake, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Mill Lake temperatures sink to the 20's.
