Get yourself into a kayak and hit Middle Creek; going for a hike along the Hardy Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. A delightful close by hotel is Cascade Motel; if the weather is tremendous, you can go for a hike along the Lookout Creek Trail. At McCallie Lake during the summertime months highs are in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. Highs       during the winter are mostly in the 40's with temperatures at McCallie Lake dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Holiday Inn Chattanooga-Choo Choo, Tn is a glorious place to get some rest. There's so much to do here at McCallie Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Best Holiday Trav-l-park is a nice place for that. McCallie Lake is a reasonably wet place frequently with a good deal of rain; all through March                  this area sees the most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There are some wonderful whitewater spots on Falling Water Creek. Here at McCallie Lake there are plenty of people from Chattanooga, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Skyuka Trail.
