After a long day outdoors Albert's Cabins is a glorious site to spend a night or two, and McAlexander Lake Number One Dam is wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Big Creek Golf Club is a fine golf course close by, and a good site to camp here at McAlexander Lake Number One is Dogwood Ridge Campground. Take a look       at close by Dry Bayou, and while you're here why not take a look at Hickman Bar. McAlexander Lake Number One typically gets a good deal of precipitation; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while August is usually the driest month. Not far from McAlexander Lake Number One, you'll hit upon Eagle Lake which is a gorgeous lake; getting to Brinkley Bayou from McAlexander Lake Number One is trouble-free.
