There's always Mayland Lake Dam to visit in close proximity to Mayland Lake, and you're sure to run into some friendly people from Crossville here. Enjoy a round of golf at Mountain Ridge Golf Club not far from Mayland Lake; a lake nearby is Hood Lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Caney Fork, and why not camp at       Cherokee Lodge if you're here at Mayland Lake. All the outdoors entertaining stuff in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains will keep you coming back time and again. If you come at the right time of year, Clifty Creek offers some delightful whitewater, and if you came for an overnight stay Roam and Roost RV Campground is a pleasant site to camp. So much exciting stuff to do here at Mayland Lake, too nice to be true. A magnificent nearby hotel is Best Western Leisure                  Inn, as expected you could also go to Monterey Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. The Cumberland Plateau Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Summertime highs at Mayland Lake commonly tend to be in the 80's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 60's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 40's with temperatures at Mayland Lake dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Mayland Lake typically gets a lot of precipitation; during the month of March you get the most rain around here while October is typically the driest month.
