Mayes Lake is a wet place that gets much rain; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain; September is the month with the least moisture. This       lake is so wonderful. West Fork Creek is next to Mayes Lake and is always a diversion to have a look at; Scottish Inns Morristown is a great place to get some rest. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Mayes Lake, and the nighttime is a little cooler of course, generally in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Mayes Lake.
