This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Wildcat Creek, and after a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Sweetwater is a magnificent site to spend a night or two. Here at Madisonville Lake there are plenty of people from Athens, and if you come at the right time of year, Tellico River offers some wonderful whitewater. This       lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Conasauga Falls Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and Little Tellico Campground is a great local campground. High temperatures at Madisonville Lake throughout the days of summer are in the 80's while night lows are frequently in the 60's. Highs during the winter are frequently in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Madisonville Lake. Estes Kefauver Lake Dam has good                  water scenery and it's near Madisonville Lake, and Carson Pond is a good lake nearby. Just can't get enough of Madisonville Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn West, and if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the Iven Trail. If you're here at Madisonville Lake, you could go to Carson Branch, and golf can be played at Madisonville Golf Course. Why not camp at Sweetwater Valley Koa since you're here at Madisonville Lake.
