    Laxion Lake is a lake worth visiting. Laxion Lake is one of the lakes here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Charit Creek Campground is a splendid campground nearby; why not explore nearby Brown Branch while you're here at Laxion Lake. And if that's not sufficient, there's lots more to do in close proximity to Laxion Lake. Laxton Lake Dam is wonderful and it's right next door to Laxion Lake, and do pop by Laxton Lake, it's a stunning lake.

   time in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains is painless. If you came for an overnight stay Bandy Creek Campground is a glorious location to camp, and a tour to Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area is recommended. Summertime highs at Laxion Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Laxion Lake  
               sink into the 20's. A glorious close by hotel is Comfort Inn Pioneer.
But wait, there's more exciting things to do in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Going for a hike on the Laurel Creek Trail is always a wonderful adventure; if you need a place to stay Best Western South Fork Inn is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful. There are magnificent sites to explore along the Racoon Loop; if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Oneida Golf & Country Club is nearby. A beautiful lake like Laxion Lake near Laxion Lake is a great location to have a look at, and New River is a great whitewater spot nearby.
Lots of rain falls at Laxion Lake; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily March, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month of the year is October. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Laxion Lake without first going for a hike along the Deer Loop, and if you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Roaring Paunch River.

...e and fixins'', get up to hot breakfast and ride back along the west side of river, up the ''horse ladder'', and along Jack's Ridge to Bandy Creek, and back to the campground. This will be a challenging ride, not for the faint of rump! When we leave the campground, all your gear will be loaded in our trailer, a hauled to the campsite, while you ride. Riders should bring a small tent, sleeping bag or bedroll, if you have a small cot, we can carry that also, a duffle type bag for clothes, grain for you horse, a nose bag for feeding works great also, we will provide grass hay. If you want to carry a cooler with your personal beverages, that’s also allowed. We will have a saddle bag lunch on the trail, and ride into camp, with the fire already going, and the barbecue smokin!
