Why not stop by Laxion Lake if you're passing through these parts. This lake is one of the great places here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Laxton Lake Dam is a location that is in the neighborhood of Laxion Lake, and since you're here you can play some golf at Oneida Golf & Country Club. The high level of precipitation makes Laxion Lake a quite wet site; March is the
month that gets the most rain; the driest month of the year is October. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Laxion Lake, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Highs all through the wintertime
are regularly in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Laxion Lake. A quick visit to Brown Branch in close proximity to Laxion Lake is a good idea, and a great place to camp here at Laxion Lake is Bandy Creek Campground.
And if you're still looking for more outdoors entertaining stuff just keep reading. Good hiking is available along the Racoon Loop; a glorious close by hotel is Comfort Inn Pioneer.
