Many people like to go to Laxion Lake. This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on New River, and a perfect nearby hotel is Best Western South Fork Inn. Roaring Paunch River has a fine whitewater paddling spot close by, and Laxion Lake is a good location to camp, Charit Creek Campground is a good location. This lake is one of the great places here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains.

River Gate Inn and Chapel is a magnificent spot to get some rest; Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area is one of the destinations that are nice to pop by close by. Having a pleasant time at Laxion Lake is uncomplicated. Do check out Laxton Lake Dam if you're here at Laxion Lake, and since you're here you can play some golf at Oneida Golf & Country Club.

Plateau Mountains. A wonderful lake like Brown Pond near Laxion Lake is a pleasant site to take a look at, and the Racoon Loop is a magnificent hiking trail close by. If the weather is delightful here at Laxion Lake, you can go for
a hike along the Laurel Creek Trail; let's not forget Brown Branch which is a stream that you may come across while here. Laxion Lake gets much water; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is October.
Throughout the summer months highs here at Laxion Lake reach the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Laxion Lake. There's no way someone can
get bored here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. There is a good hiking trail in close proximity to Laxion Lake called the Deer Loop; Bandy Creek Campground is a wonderful campground here.
