Go to Laurel Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Laurel Lake. Laurel Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and October is the month with the least moisture. Camping at Laurel Lake is fine fun, McMillian Catfish Farms Camping is a fine local campground; get yourself into a kayak and hit Blackburn Fork. This lake is so wonderful.

| | A glorious place near Laurel Lake is Blair Hollow, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Gordonsville is a wonderful place to spend a night or two. Get wet paddling on Pine Creek, and there's some interesting stuff to observe at Laurel Lake Dam close to Laurel Lake. At Laurel Lake throughout the summer months highs are in the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are commonly in the 40's; night lows through the winter for Laurel | |

Lake tend to be in the 20's. Why not camp at Defeated Creek Campground while you're here at Laurel Lake; if you need a location to stay Timber Ridge Inn Jacuzzi Suite is a pleasant choice.
