    Do stop by Laurel Lake while you're in this part of Tennessee. Don't miss out on a tour to Russell Cave National Monument since you're here at Laurel Lake, and whitewater paddling is fine on Little Fiery Gizzard Creek. This lake is so wonderful. American Eagle Inn is a nice site to get some rest, and a tremendous place to camp here at Laurel Lake is Kimball Campground. High temperatures at Laurel Lake during the warmest time of the year are in the 80's while  
   night lows are frequently in the 60's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Laurel Lake temperatures plunge to the 20's.
One of the major highlights of the surroundings of Laurel Lake is Payne View, and you'll probably meet some folks from Tullahoma here. This lake is so wonderful. Laurel Branch is a stream that you may come across while here, and close by you hit upon the Winding Stairs
 
               which is a magnificent hiking trail. If you need a location to stay Best Western Smokehouse Lodge is a tremendous choice, and don't leave Laurel Lake without first checking out Eagle Cliff.
Drip Spring Cove is next to Laurel Lake and is a great location, and paddling on Big Fiery Gizzard Creek is so much fun. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Laurel Lake. Laurel Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Laurel Trails Campground is a brilliant local campground, and going for a hike on the River Mont Cave Historical Trail is always a great adventure. The high level of precipitation makes Laurel Lake a rather wet location; March is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is August.
